Hi everyone ....Today I thought of bringing you a journey by train 🚆 .Are you all ready to go with me? Okay.one .Two.Three.Let's go....😍 . When I was in grade 10,me and my friends planned to go on a trip by train to Nuwara Eliya.Luckily ,We were able to make our wish a reality. As I remembered it was the August  vacation .We were to spend the whole vacation in Nuwara Eliya. My father  had booked seats in a luxury train for us to travel up to Nanu Oya.We boarded the train at 5.30 a.m. from the Fort Railway Station. My parents and sisters joined this trip.We had our breakfast in the train.I must say that it was so enjoyable . The train was so comfortable as all the compartments were  air conditioned. We could see the surroundings through the huge window panes. As the train approached the central hills ,the climate became colder. We were traveling through the beautiful tea estates and the plantation of fresh  vegetables. The cascading water falls among the green mounta...

There is no aspect of life, which is denied of books📚.Through reading interesting books not only I adjust my life, but gain pleasure and amusement also.Being an ardent reader I have read a number of good books. So among them ,today I thought of introducing the book ;  "Swami and Friends ". It was written by the great Indian writer   R.K.Narayan. Let's have a look about  the book.Swami👦 who is the main character,an ordinary boy of ten- eleven years.studies in grade six standard in Albert Mission School. His behavioural patterns are quite funny and peculiar. He feels lazy to go to school🏘️.He is innocent but naughty.Swami has so many friends. Some are studious but some are not.Rajam, the police superintendent's son becomes his favorite.Swami is small in size but get caught in big troubles. The way he reacts to his multifarious companions,is very interesting. At home he feels lonely .But  granny often comforts him.He feels cozy and snug when granny is there.Go...

A Visit to a Botanical Garden -Heartfelt hours in my life (Part 05)

Image
Everyone loves flowers 🌺🌺🌺.Normally no one hates to visit flower gardens.Specially Botanical Gardens are the delights of nature🏞️.So,recently I happened to visit one of the famous gardens at Asgiriya a bit close to Gampaha.Though it is an old garden ,it indicates the glamour and grandeur of Sri Lankan flora and fauna. Abruptly on our way to Udugampala,we visited it and was not pre-arranged.But the visit was really interesting and wonderful as there was no crowd. When I was roaming among the neat lawns of the premises I felt so much about the role played by the plant kingdom 🍃in the sustaining the life on this planet🌍.How miraculous the way the plant life maintains the animal life by trapping the solar energy to provide animals their source of energy. I was deeply touched by the lush green creepers and huge clump of trees in rows. Before noon we left the garden to continue our journey.Likewise, I could add another heartfelt hours to my life through this visit😍😍.

Hi🤗....Today i came with an another heartfelt hour in my life.It was a beautiful day.I was in our home garden.Mother came out of the house smiling and saying "I have some good news" and this made me feel quite inquisutive.I ran to her and asked what it was.She informed me that my father had got an appointment in Australia and we were to go there for two years😍. I jumped for joy since I had never been abroad.I had never seen any other country other than Sri Lanka.I was so excited, but at the same time I felt sorry that I would miss my school friends.                            My mother said that all arrangements will be made for me to attend a school in Australia.I thought of all the wonderful things and places I could visit in Australia.I had read in books about the lovely orchards, rivers and lakes in Australia.I was almost going into a dream world when my mother shouted at me and asked me to get back to my ho...
